Hanna and dad are making a hydroplane

Hanna and her dad are crazy about 3D puzzles. Those are toys made of FSC-certified wood. They can be assembled in no time at all by just pushing the pieces together, without glue.

And as they already have a pretty biplane at home, a hydroplane will be the perfect addition to their collection. Now all they need is the helicopter… 😉

They both paint the plane with the craft paint which is harmless for children’s hands. They really like light shades of yellow. Just add a little bit of white to the yellow to create new colours. Great that mara craft paints can easily be mixed together.

After drying, dad assembles the 28 pieces of the set for her. She really prefers for dad to read the instructions.

  • Press the individual parts from the wooden board. Place the required craft paints on a mixing palette. Keep a brush, kitchen roll and a cup of water ready. Cover the table to protect it from the paint.
  • Use the brush to apply a rich, even layer to the wooden parts. Then set them aside to dry. Afterwards, paint the reverse side.
  • After drying, assemble the hydroplane according to the instructions, finished!
